On Friday night, I went out to Little Tokyo for the grand opening of the Muni Handmade Pop-Up Shop. This is the first time it's been around and something new for me. They're hosting a shop every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from now until the middle of January. Including Hello Sushi, there's around a dozen vendors showcasing a variety of Japanese-inspired products. In addition, Muni is having different arts and crafts workshops from week to week. Be sure to stop by and check it out before it's over.
I just got done with this year's Crafty Foxes boutique. I missed out on doing Eden in San Leandro last week, so it was good to be here this weekend...

Back in February, I did my first out-of-state show for the Arizona Matsuri. I'm always looking for new stores and just so happened to have a booth next to The House of Rice Store. I had the opportunity to meet with the owner and discuss the possibility of doing wholesale. Unfortunately, things didn't work out at the time. Fast forward 7 months later and I now have Hello Sushi being sold here. If you're ever in the Scottsdale area, be sure to stop by and check out the shop. For more information about The House of Rice, please visit the Retailers page here.
What a weekend! Saturday was the Jan Ken Po Gakko Arts & Crafts Fair. I had a conflict with this show last year, but I'm happy I was able to make it this time around. It was great being introduced to an awesome new customer base. I also got to see some familiar faces from my time in Sacramento last year. Thanks again to everyone who shopped with us! And thank you to Jules for helping make this show an easy process for the vendors. I'll definitely be back again next year.
What I like to call "Boutique Season" is officially here. September marks the start of the busiest time of the year for me. Shows become back to back weekends rather than once a month. This weekend was the Midori Kai Arts & Crafts Boutique. It was my second time doing this one and there was another great turnout. Thank you to everyone who came by and supported the show.
This weekend was the 9th annual Los Angeles Tanabata Festival as part of Nisei Week. My first time participating in the festival was a lot of fun. Thank you so much to for having me. This was the first and only event I have in SoCal for the summer. I got to see some familiar faces and also meet a lot of new people. Thanks to everyone that stopped by!
I just got back from Las Vegas last night for this year's Obon Festival. It was my second time doing this event and it was nice to meet more new customers. I also get to see some family members who live in Vegas and others who participate in all of the Obon activities. It's always a fun weekend out there. I hope to be back again next year.
